I was just thinking about Silentmusic's idea about competition categories. Maybe Ninja is right in that three separate categories for participants would be a bit much to manage, but perhaps we could simply specify whether we consider ourselves basic, intermediate or advanced players when we post our jams, so that others could take our skill level into consideration when voting?

The question is, What do you consider Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced?

I can consider myself Beginner when I'm actually Intermediate, or even Advanced.

Oh yeah, ninja, could you post the links up to the web page instead of directly to the player (e.g. soundclick) as that never seems to work for me.

With my superior skills? Of course.

I say one category for all if you wanna catch up to Billy and Sean then you better get to practicing. Getting better to get votes is great motivation to learn. Well that's what I think anyway.

Came across this thread a few days ago, and downloaded the track and have farted around with it some, but didn't know there was a deadline. So I'll get motivated and hit record. Cool track Ninja.

Rsam--->You don't really have to repost, just in soundclick go to band administration and go to update songs. Upload the new version and it will replace the old one. A lot easier and you won't have four tracks of the same song on your soundclick page.

Ok, here's my take on it. I finally gave up and settled on that one, since my fingers said no more. They're definitely not used to trying to play any form of lead! Anyway... without further adue.... GT solo project 1

Very nice Eric!!! Everything flowed right with the song. The tone or should I say tones were impeccable. You did switch tones in there right?

Thanks ya'll! Yeah, I used two different tones. Up to the brake was on my neck pickup with the tone rolled all the way off, then after that I was using the bridge pickup, tone up, and a different gain channel. I won't go into all the other details, as I don't want to give away my secret :p

Thanks again... I had a great time doing it!

Well, all I'm going to say is, no mic's were used, but between my guitar and my computer, there were 6 things (no special effects... all that was added in Sonar). I might go into all that at a later date, but at this point in time... I'm gonna keep it my little secret. :D

I'm sharing some of the same feelings as Eric on this track...as in my fingers hurt and I've had enough. It's actually about 3 takes spliced together...all improv-ed.
