Or like, "I think the Nirvans is teh best band evrz, they rlly no how I feel about stff!" This is an actual quote from a song list of somebody at my school:
Gasoline- Nirvana
I am the Sky- Nirvana
You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.

kurt cobain is a great guitar player and songwriter but alot of nirvanas stuff sounds the same...just using like 3 different powerchords and what not....iron maiden is the best band ever.

I'm not going to say I love them or hate them, but I strongly disagree that kurt's a good player. That said he had some amazing lyrics, very original.

Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

Green day is alright by no means the best band. i have to go with Led Zeppelin, rolling stones, jimi Henrix, or the Doors.

In music there are 3 essential bands. Those are The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin, all of the new bands suck.

The Rolling Stones? They have nothing on Pink Floyd, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, or AC/DC (or, for that matter, about twenty younger bands I can think of).

I reckon they were great until Brian Jones died. His shoes were too big for Mick Taylor or Ron Wood to fill, and "Keef" gets a bit boring after forty years' worth of music.

One word: MANOWAR! :p

But you're right, Green Day are a good band. "Holiday" is one of my favourite songs right now.

Hello! Have any of you guys heard of TOOL? They are IMHO the finest band around today. They are just so much better than any other heavy band out there. Such power and emotion in the songs. All the musicians are incredible and they are just SO heavy.
They top my Top 5, followed by The Stone Roses, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Dire Straits.
All comments welcome....

Thank you for welcoming my comments. Now that I've been so kindly permitted, I will say, no, nobody has heard of TOOL. Or if they have, they lie about it from the shame. Some of those other bands are good though.

Oh yeah, Green Day is awful. They're just a bunch of aging sellouts who won't admit they're past their prime and bow out with dignity.

Yeah, that's part of being a good band, but the other part is having good music.

PPPFFFTTT! ;)

...Reinds me of the Gene Simmons rock school show. He picked some tone deaf, elvish speaking 10 year old for the band over a gifted, trained singer just because the other kid had 'attitude'.

Give Tuscan16 a break. Tool rock - not half as much as Pink Floyd :p , but I'm not ashamed to admit that I admire them; and they're not exactly short on fans.

Green Day aren't awful IMHO, but I'll agree that they're past their prime.

I don't know how avid of a Tool fan you are... but they disbanned and the lead singer is now the lead singer from an equally good (NOT the best) band called A Perfect Circle.... I think a better band than Tool honestly with the same concept... and although highly influenced by Tool... would be Chevelle... but I would never suggest them for the best band in the entire world... Another good band that just made a name is 10 Years... they've got a Tool sound too... but once again... I'm not going to call them the best band ever... But yeah... I'm sure lots of people have heard of Tool... they just don't hold as high of an opinion about them as you do...
