I LOVE pumpkin pie, it's my favorite food in the entire known world) but yeah, I'm done ranting about how I've never have good food, then when I go over to a friends house, I take one bite, and I like orgasm, and they are all like "what? it's not THAT good." when, for me, it's better then the stuff I'm eating 99.9% of the time...

end of rant now... (i'm serious this time)

I'm sorry man. That must suck.

Here's the recipe I use:
The ribs basically fall off the bone they're so tender.

Pork Ribs

1 1/2 cups water
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1/4 cups soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup

Mix all ingredients together, place ribs cut into small pieces in pan. Bring to boil and cook for 3/4 hour to 1 hour.

Remove ribs, continue to boil mixture until reduced, stirring constantly.

To avoid burning, place ribs on a heated BBQ and slather both sides with sauce.

Heat each side for 5 to eight mins.

I'm sure that taste's great, but I just prefer cooking with no water/boiling involved. It does take a bit of practice to cook good ribs, but I guarontee you would enjoy my ribs.

I'm not about to get into an argument over how to cook something, as everybody has their own taste and cooking style..... Just like guitar tone.

I don't like the boiling part of Schmange's (with a soft g) ribs, but I do like the fact that he uses the rib stock and marinade to make a BBQ sauce for the ribs. That actually sounds really good. Boiled ribs just have a certain flavor to them that I don't like.

If I had to change anything about that method, I would try to slow cook them on the grill (indirect heat) with some hickory smoke goin', and it would have to be a charcoal grill!

Yeah, I agree with ya there. Charcoal gives it a taste that you can't get with a gas grill. I try my best by putting a bunch of marinade directly on the grill stones to make em smoke like hell.

I'm gonna have to give the slow grill a try sometime.

I've found there's two ways to buy meat around here.
If you get it from the grocery store it's usually tough and you have to marinade the heck out of it.

The best way is go to the butcher and grab the best you can find.
Some people think a good steak comes from a the grocery store for instance, but I keep tellin em, you gotta go to the butcher and spend $20 on a New York cut if you want the real thing.

What happened to just heading out to the field with a .357 and a hatchet?

Some teachers might not mind. Kids can be real bastards.

I was totally trained by my parents to not eat meat unless it was thoroughly cooked. Like if there was any red in beef, it wasn't cooked properly and you had to throw it away.
Even now, my mother cooks beef so much that it's about half the size of the original and hard as shoe leather.

I tried to get her to eat a new york steak off the barbecue once and she wouldn't touch it because there was still some red in it.

What can I say? I like blood. Not to seem morbid or vampiric in any way (though I might add that a number of my friends have compared me to vampires on my teeth alone, oddly enough).
