My friends all told me this song was cool, but I think they did just because they are my friends. Can I please get some objective feeback?
Song is missing vocal track, and drum track is on drum machine.

Hey its pretty good music. I like the sound and the feel to it moderen 90's all the way back to mid 80's. I also love the distortion.

Though since it was a song, and not a freestyle, I cant really crtiqe you on your guitar playing. Your medody and sound is cool, but not so sure about the actual difficutly. Since you were playing basic power chords, I cant really say much.

*put a killer solo at the start to grab everyone's attention and then go to the basic melody pattern.* well, thats would I would do

I like the strum patterns a lot. Turn off all that distortion and you've got yourself a nice Interpol song! Well done!

out of 50 views 2 people said they liked it and the other people (assuming that they listened to it) said nothing. I am assuming that means that they dont like it.

I think the intro is outstanding.

But the verse doesnt fit with the intro. The intro sounds like its gonna break into an erie crazy bottom end chugging riff that blows your mind to peices. But it isnt

My opinion is: I dunno if you wanted to change the song or if you just wanted to hear what people think, but this is mainly what I think

intro-perfect

verse- doesnt fit intro ( a little to happy sounding compared to the intro )
It sorta sounds like a sum 41 kinda riff to me.

chorus and intro to chorus- dont like very much

Ya know what man, you have incredible talent. And I think you show that in the intro, but I think If you expressed your talent a little more in the verse and chorus it would've been better.

I can hear breaking benjamin doing the intro, then sum 41 doing the rest of the song.

To me it doesnt really fit.

I'de like to hear some more stuff you got.

But all together you have good talent. :)

Once again... you guys have gotta get a dedicated server to host your sound files.
Sounclick sucks big time not only in terms of quality but the ability to have us guys play your tune in real time right over the net.

ie,
http://s93744050.onlinehome.us/mp3/NeonLies.mp3

Easy access... no waiting, and it plays in seconds on quicktime.....

Soundclick.. is a pain in the royal ass. It's gotten to the point where I give up trying to use it.

Any serious musician who wants people to critique their music needs to sign up with an ISP provider that can provide instant streaming.

...sorry guy, but I can't listen to your tune cause it's too much of a hassle to get it working.

wow.... I'm kinda blown away by the way you guys can't afford a measly $5 a month.
All ya gotta do is is get a paper route or hit your parents up for a montly allowance. We're talking 16 cents a day here....

I realize that it's a pain, but all you gotta do is some simple online stratagies.
eBay.... for instance.... or online guitar lessons.
Just push yourself online and put together some video lessons or a few MP3 sound files. Sign up with PayPal and you can easily get a montly fee.
Ask for donations on your own site. Helll.... upload your stuff to an online MP3 hosting service that pays royaties.... make up some ringtones...

I hope I didn't sound like I was complaining In the last post. I am sorry that it didn't work for you. Although appreciated, there is no for your apology; its ok if you couldn't listen to it. At this point in time promotion is not the focus of the project. I just wanted some objective opinons on it. Currently other goals are considered priority. The fact of the matter is that five dollars a month is unaffordable due to a lack of preperation.

and my d*** job wont give me hours, bastards

It's all kewl dude.
Not too long ago ( a few years ago) I was in the same boat.
One of the major drags of online services in some cases is the total lack of apreciation that the so many young users who don't have credit cards or access to small amounts of money.

I guess what I'm suggesting is, find a way to set up a PayPal account where you can build up a small savings of a coupla hundred bucks.
When it comes time to join some decent online services you'll appreciate the convenience of just being able to instantly access your savings online.

Even then, there's a whole load of sites that don't accept PayPal.
I got majorly ripped off using my credit card on an online site a few years ago and totally refuse to deal with places that only accept credit cards.
(With PayPal, if you get ripped off, you've got insurance to get your money back)

Like last week I signed up with an online service that turned out to be a total sham.... $10 a month for industry contacts in film/tv stuff..
A month later I still didn't have any contacts or replies from the company.
I complained to PayPal and got my money back in 2 days.

I guess the point I'm making is it's kinda impossible to survive online these days without either a credit card or Paypal etc...
Right now, all my online activities go thorugh PayPal... ie, any money from online lessons, album sales, song sales etc... get paid directly into my paypal account.
If i want I can have the money transferred to my bank account, but I find the best use is to use it for online services or buying music equipment off eBay.

Schmange, your file took 6 minutes to get to my ears because I had to wait for it, my point is, I did wait for it. I can't say it was worth the wait though.

Hanberg, not sure about the intro but you sure have a good thing going on with the rest of the track. If you can, try to make it more uniform with something in the middle to break it up a little, overall good job mate, I like it, I couldn't stop my head nodding along with it. :)
Time to wait for your track to arrive was 10 seconds.
Music?
I can't read Music :(
I don't understand Tab and what's a mode for?
I thought only fish had scales.
But, I can Jam for hours and every day I create something new, but technically I don't have a clue what I'm doing, but it sure is FUN! to improvise. :D
