I once had a sandwhich in my possesion. I held it in my hand. It had bread holding the tasty goodness inside of it. I recall eating it and thinking "that sure was good".

Just a suggestion, but you guys have definitely gotta get yourselves an automatic breadmaker.
Seriously.... I bake a new loaf every few days and wouldn't dream of going back to cruddy store bought bread.
It's like, the kinda bread where you can toast it, put some butter on it and just eat it like it is....majorly crunchy.
Takes about 2 minutes to put the ingredients together and 2 hours to bake it.

2 cups water
3 cups flour
dash of salt and sugar
pinch of lard
tablespoon of yeast

Close the top of the breadmaker and press start.
Two hours later you've got a fresh loaf of bread and it only cost about 25 cents

I just made myself a loaf of bread as we speak.
Yummy!
You can also just use it to knead the bread and rise it. Then stick it in the oven for all the fancy breads.
Makes great pizza dough too. :D

I enjoy my breakfast sandwhich

-3 eggs fried in butter
-pile of bacon, fried in a skillet, (if you make your bacon in the microwave then stop reading this)
-then cook some hashbrowns in the left over bacon grease (very important step)
-heat up some corn beef till it gets crispy
-cheese (that mixed mexican cheese is the best)
-toast up some bread

1st bread, then eggs, then bacon and corn beef, then cheese, then hash browns, then cover everything in ketchup

if you dont like ketchep, gravy makes an excellent alternative

don't eat this sandwhich if you have a heart problem or are pregnant

wow instant heart attack coming up there though it does sound pretty damn good! the most disgusting sounding, but is actually really nice is jam an cheese! toast the bread (so it aint really a sandwich) then put some jam on then layer on some cheese, toast that so it melts. and volah you have it an it sure is good stuff.mmmmmm

The ultimate weekend meals.

Breakfast:
Bacon cooked to a crisp
lettuce
thinly sliced tomatoes out of the garden
Fresh bread slices, toasted
thinly sliced cheddar and motzerella cheese
Tomato ketchup and HPSauce
Fresh cucumber out of the garden on the side
And freshly ground pepper out of one of them hugh wooden things.

Make it into a sandwich and put four toothpicks in each corner to hold it together, then slice it diagonaly.

Serve with dill pickles, potato chips and beer.

Finish it off with a vanilla ice cream cone...then fall asleep for 4 hours.

Onion soup for lunch with mozerela cheese and croutons. Majorly awesome on a Saturday at lunch time. Homemade pizza on Saturday night... then Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes and lots of butter, roast beef and veggies on Sunday for lunch.

(I'm gonna die of a major heart attack real early in life :)

Fall asleep again

Then homemade pizza for supper. with more beer. and fall asleep again.
oh yeah ... and supplement the whole thing with massive amounts of Tylenol #3, Xanax, Prozac and more beer and Sherry.

yup.... I'm gonna die an early death fer sure

The rest of the week.... homemade bread with cheese and homemade dillpickles, tomato soup and chili.

The bachelors life..... serve it all on paper plates with plastc spoons and use typewriter paper for plates whenever you can, then toss em in the fireplace.
No washup and free heat.

And occasionally eat an apple just for the hell of it.

I see you are going for Quality over quantity of life !! Very wise philosophical decision.

On a lighter note I just mastered the art of making Yorkshire puddings !!!

Served with lamb or Iowa Beef, roast potatoes, some veg (buttered peppered white cabbage) and onion gravy !!!

On a big slice of bread (to qualify for being a sandwich).

Ha going to see Bob Dylan tonight !! Oh yes !!

ok, but are ya making real Yorkshire pudding or the Americanized version?

My pudding beats all man.....

2 Eggs
Beat till Frothy
Add 1 cup milk
Beat for 1 minute again
Add 1 teaspoon of salt
Mix in 1 Cup of White Flour
Preheat Oven to 400 deg Farenheit
Pour a tablespoon of oil into a pan (9" X 9" X 2.5 deep)
Bake at 400 deg Farenheit for ....... don't know 15 minutes to 30 , just watch it till it rises.

Then ya serve it with gravy, chicken, homemade stuffing, sprouts, carrots and applesauce. And worcestershire sauce.

YUM!!
