Guitartricks App Redesign for iOS

Hey everyone. Today is a very exciting day because we are finally going to share with you something we’ve been working on, and we think you’re going to love it. This is the brand new Guitartricks app for iOS!

For those of you who are learning guitar on iOS, we know that the old app had a lot of room for improvement and we’ve worked quite a bit to make the new app easier to navigate, easier to use, and more feature-packed than ever before. Let’s talk about just some of the biggest improvements we’re bringing to the Guitartricks app for iOS.

UPDATED DESIGN

The old app was, well, old and so we’ve updated the look and feel so that it’s more modern, and easier to use. That was the key to our redesign. We focused on making sure that everything is easy to understand and getting to a particular lesson was just one or two taps away. We’re now using a lighter theme, we’ve added artist images, and colorful thumbnails. As you can see, the updated design also works great on modern smartphones that have high-resolutions and thin bezels. It is an absolute delight to use and we hope you love it as much as we do.

PROGRESS

You asked for it, and we heard you loud and clear. We’re bringing the full Progress system into the app so you can track exactly which lessons you were learning. You can mark them, or hide them, and completely view your entire guitar-learning journey on a single page. And of course, the course badges will be there so you can see your overall progress for each genre, style, or song at a single glance.

COLLECTIONS

Guitartricks learners will know that we introduced the Collections section early in 2019, and we’re happy to share that these beloved playlists will also be making their way into the new iOS Guitartricks app. If you don’t know, Collections are a playlist of lessons and songs curated to fit specific genres or themes. For example, you can try your hand at a crash course in blues licks in the Bread & Butter Blues collection, or learn to play our favorite arena rock riffs from the 70’s Arena Rock Anthems collection featuring songs from AC/DC, Kiss, The Who, Boston, and more. There is so much to dig through and have fun with in our collections. If you can’t wait for the app update, you can try them out right now.

EVERYTHING YOU LOVE

We made sure that in this redesign, we did not remove anything that we know you already enjoy about Guitartricks. Your favorite elements like song search, the award-winning Core Learning System featuring blues, rock, country and acoustic courses are all there. We’ve enhanced the overall experience by updating the lesson pages, making notation and lyrics easier to access. The songs page is also improved with artist images, and a header full of the top artists you know and love. The new Guitartricks iOS app is now available in the app store and we’re very excited to get it in your hands so you can continue to learn with us. We have really appreciated all of your feedback and we hope that you enjoy the improvements!

Thank you and rock on!
