Description

Any acoustic guitar is suitable to play the acoustic parts in this tune.

I’m using a semi-hollowbody guitar for the electric parts. Ideally, you’d want to use a 12 string electric guitar to be completely authentic to the original recording, but any 6 string electric guitar can be used to play this song. I’ve selected the bridge pickup for a clear, bright tone.

A Fender tube amp is the best choice to replicate the electric tone in this tune. Dial in a clean - right on the edge of breakup - sound - for example, set the Preamp Gain to 45%, Bass to 50%, Mids to 55%, Treble to 60%, and Presence to 65%. Add a touch of reverb to both guitars for depth.

For Guitars 3 and 4, I’m kicking in a treble boost pedal for a bit more sustain and punch.
Since we’re in standard tuning, I’m using regular light gauge strings that are 10-46 along with a heavy pick.
