I’m using a Stratocaster guitar for this song, but any electric guitar is suitable. I’ve selected the neck pickup for a warm, round tone. For Guitar 2’s parts, place a capo at the 3rd fret.
A Fender tube amp is the best choice to replicate the tones heard in this tune. Dial in a clean - right on the edge of breakup sound - for example, set the Preamp Gain to 35%, Bass to 45%, Mids to 55%, Treble to 60%, and Presence to 60%.
I’m using regular light gauge strings that are 10-46 along with a heavy pick to dig right in.
