Description

I’m using a Super Strat for both guitar layers, but any guitar is suitable to play this song. I’m blending the bridge and middle pickup for a crisp, clean tone, and switching to the bridge pickup for the leads.

Any Fender style tube amp is the best choice to get close to the tones heard on this recording. Set up the amp for clean by dialing the Drive to 25%, Bass to 45%, Mid to 55%, Treble to 60%, and Presence to 65%.

For Guitar 2 and 3, kick in an overdrive pedal for lots of gain and sustain, perfect for digging into some leads.

Add some reverb to both guitars for depth.

I used a 10-46 string gage, with a heavy pick so I can dig into those licks and fills.
Here are the settings I used:

Fender Twin Model:
Drive: 25% Bass: 45% Mid: 55% Treb: 60% Presence: 65%

Tube Screamer (Guitar 2,3):
Gain: 90% Tone: 60%

Spring Reverb:
WetDryMIX: 35%
