I’m using a Les Paul for this song, but any electric guitar is suitable. I’ve selected the bridge pickup for a bright, clear tone.
A Fender tube amp is the best choice to replicate the tones heard in this tune. Dial in a clean, right on the edge of breakup, sound - for example, set the Preamp Gain to 40%, Bass to 45%, Mids to 55%, Treble to 60%, and Presence to 60%.
Both guitars are using a fuzz effect for a crunchy, distinctive sound. Add some reverb to both guitars for a touch of depth.
I’m using regular light gauge strings that are 10-46 along with a heavy pick to dig right in.
