Description

I’m using a Stratocaster, but any electric guitar is suitable. Select the bridge pickup for a tight, clear sound. The Strat is equipped with a tremolo arm which is used for the solos, but is not necessary to play through the song.

A Fender tube amp is the best choice to replicate the electric tone in this tune. Dial in a clean – right on the edge of breakup - sound - for example, set the Preamp Gain to 40%, Bass to 50%, Mids to 55%, Treble to 60%, and Presence to 60%.

Guitar 1 uses a fuzz pedal to give a distinct, aggressive sound to the riffs. The bridge section requires a cleaner tone, so either click off the fuzz effect, or roll down your guitar’s volume to clean up the sound.

Add reverb to all guitars for depth.

I’m using regular light gauge strings that are 10-46 along with a heavy pick to dig in aggressively.
