I hope this tutorial has encouraged you to experiment more freely on the guitar. It's of course great to learn and understand what you're doing, but it's also important to just be a kid with an instrument sometimes and fearlessly try things like moving your chord shapes around on the neck and seeing what happens. The E-shape is extremely useful for this purpose, but you can try it with any of your other open chord shapes, and I'm sure you'll find a lot of interesting sounds.
