Description

First let's review what we even mean when talk about the concept of a strumming pattern and once we've done that I'll show you the new one.

Mute all your strings with your fretting hand. The basic concept is that we have our 8th notes alternating with down and upstrokes and make it sound like a cool pattern that we can repeat indefinitely. We keep our wrist moving, but we don't hit the strings on all of them.

Leave out some of these strums. Try leaving out all of the upstrokes for example. Our wrist is still moving the same way, we're just not hitting the strings on the way up.

Let's explore a pattern that sounds great, and that I know will work for an almost infinite number of songs.
