Now it's time to play through our open D-practice tune up to speed with the backing track.

I hope you've had a lot of fun exploring the open D-tuning. There's of course a lot more you can do in it, but you'd be surprised how much of the standard acoustic open D vocabulary we've managed to cover in this tutorial. Because as always, when it comes to open tunings, they're really great for certain very specific things, but other things are more difficult, like playing in a key other than D for example. So you use the opening tunings when it fits your mood and the context and the rest of the time we can always count on the strangest tuning of them all standard tuning.
