Description
Now it's time to play through this practice tune up to speed. We're going to do it with a very simple backing track, so you can hear how the finger picking works when it's blended with a few other instruments, but if the tempo isn't right for you, this practice can absolutely stand on it's own as a solo acoustic guitar piece.
I hope you've had a lot of fun with this whole new RH sound and technique. Even though I'm sure you're still working towards fully mastering many of these elements, it's important to already now start looking for songs that use these grooves, sounds and techniques- even if you can't do them perfectly yet! The technique will get there if you stick with it, so you may as well get a head start on knowing when to use all these different sounds. The first part of learning guitar is filling up your toolbox so you have a ton of stuff to draw from, and the second equally important part is knowing when to use what tools and making good decisions with all of your skills. And you may as well get started on that process while you're working on the mechanics of it all.
