Description

There is one electric guitar layer in this tune that plays some iconic riffs and killer leads. The song opens with a single power chord and syncopated bouncy synth organ riff before the band crashes in with power chord accents. The verse and chorus feature equal part rhythm chord stabs and fill licks making for exciting guitar parts.

There are also extended jam sections that feature repeated riffs and great lead guitar licks. The bridge modulates the key up a step and features a solo in the new key. There’s a lengthy synth interlude later in the arrangement that builds to the crashing outro section that ends the tune.

This tutorial also includes a bonus lesson that shows how to approximate the iconic synth intro.

In the following lessons, we’ll talk about power chords, aggressive riff approaches, and some killer lead guitar. We are in the key of A major, with a 4/4 time signature, at a tempo of 135 BPM.
