Description
The tune starts out with an ominous riff. This riff is a great example of combining octaves with power chords to create cool motifs. Note that the octave happens to be the minor 3 of the I chord, and that when you move to the IV chord, you are also hitting the minor 3 and 2 of that chord for a very cool sound.
For the first two verses you will play this riff relaxed, with a cleaner tone, then later in the song you can get aggressive with it with full distortion. Note how the dynamics completely shape this arrangement and create much of the tension/release of the tune.
