Description
In this lesson we'll look at the last 4 measures of our 12 bar blues. This will be measures 9-12. We'll also add a final G7 chord to the end to give our arrangement a solid finish.
This time we've start with a D7 chord played in quarter notes for 1 measure. Then, we'll switch to a series of notes from the 4th box pattern of the G minor pentatonic scale for 1 measure.
Next we play the G7 chord for 1 measure. then we play a series of notes from the 5th box pattern of the G minor pentatonic scale. Getting from the low G7 chord all the way up to the 5th box pattern is a challenge! It's a great work out for navigating the fretboard as well as jumping between chord strumming & single note melody playing.
Again remember to practice playing the notes in an ascending pattern.
