Description

GUITAR: Preferably use a telecaster for all these guitar parts - there's a distinctive chimey bite and clarity to the parts you can get only with a telecaster. Make sure you're using the bridge pickup - wide open volume and tone. You can approximate the tone with a stratocaster or any guitar with a single-coil pickup in the bridge position, but to be authentic you need a tele.

AMP: Use a Fender type amp (Twin, Bassman, Deluxe, etc) but be sure to overdrive it to get some nice sustain and power. I used a Matchless model on my Pod-XT (Matchless gives you a great Fender tweed type tone) using the following settings:

Drive: 55%, Bass: 100%, Mid: 75%, Treb: 60%, Pres: 70%

Spring Reverb: 50%

CHORUS EFFECT:
Speed: .62Hz Depth: 66% Wet/DryMIX: 35%

DOTTED 8th NOTE ECHO:
Time: 542ms FDBK: 0% Wet/DryMIX: 45%
