Add Rhythm With Strumming & Muting Country Style

This is the same thing, but we're using up and downstrokes with the pick.

Start with a downstroke with the pick, and then go back up. You let the chord sound on the next downstroke, and go back to choking the chord on the upstroke. It's easier if you count along, and just remember to let the chord sound on 2, and 4.

Practice all of these strumming patterns, using your other barre chords. In the next lesson we will be playing this strumming pattern in a progression, and we will be using another barre chord formation.
