Description

And yet another lesson in which we combine all four shapes, but with a slightly different order and different chords:

  • E minor shaped barre chord.

  • E major shaped barre chord.

  • A minor shaped barre chord.

  • A major shaped barre chord.

We will play them as follows:

  • A minor chord for two measures.

  • F major chord for two measures.

  • D minor chord for two measures.

  • E major chord for two measures.

  • Repeat!

Our process remains the same as with the earlier lessons: learn the chords, practice changing from chord to chord, get ready to play them in time with a backing track at 80 BPM. Then play the chord progression along with the backing track.

As ever, remember to count! 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.! And so on, playing and, or changing chords on the 1, the downbeat of each measure.
