Let's expand once again upon our 12 Bar Blues in A!


This time let's replace the last 2 measures of chord playing with something called a turnaround. A turnaround is a little melody that effectively "sums up" everything that the music has done so far - in a shorter time. That makes it an effective way to end a cycle of the 12 bar pattern and either start over or end the song.
