Now it's time to play through practice tune. I'm not using a metronome, and when you play this by yourself, you should pick whichever tempo feels comfortable for you. No need to push it and play it faster just because. It's better to play it slowly and be in full control.

I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial on the open string licks and melodies. This is one of those topics that you can keep exploring and there's virtually no limit to how far you can eventually take it. But even in it's most basic forms it's both useful, fun and somewhat flashy. It's one of those things that makes the guitar sound a little less like a guitar and more like a piano, which is always fun and very likely to raise some eyebrows.
