In this lesson we'll look at how you can change how you count and feel a faster tempo. This all comes down to counting and tapping your feet, and you'll be surprised how big of a difference this can make for the overall sound of your playing.

Let's start with a fast tempo. Now if you count that out and tap your feet on all 4, you get a fast pace. Speed it up a little more, and you'll probably start to get really short of breath and your feet will get tired. All of this will translate to your playing and it'll sound stressed and unpleasant.

Now try and instead count it half as fast: 1 and 2 and 3 and 4. Already you can relax a bit more and sink into the groove a little better. This lesson could stop here and you could use this tool for the rest of your life.
