Description

Before we start digging into all the playing, let's briefly talk about what gear and tones I'll be using for these examples.

I'll be using my Telecaster on the bridge pickup for these examples, but you can of course use any electric guitar and as always you can even learn most of them on an acoustic if that's all you have. I'll be running my guitar into a modeled version of a small Fender tube amp with a little bit of reverb added, but no slap back delay. When we're playing at the faster tempos, we don't need the extra tail or ambiance to clutter it all up. Once you get your playing super tight, you can experiment with adding more delay and reverb, but for now we'll keep our tone super tight and snappy.
