Description

In this lesson we'll add the IV-chord on the treble strings on the “and of 3”. This can be used both with and without the 1-5 motion from the previous lesson.

In the previous lesson we added the 1-5 motion to the basic pattern, and it looked like this. Now we'll change that upbeat chord on the “and of 3”, so that instead of playing the I chord, like we do now we'll use the IV chord.

This is not going to change the basic harmonic function of the chord; it's still and E chord. It's just going to add a little movement within it. Just like a piano player would do in his right hand!
