Applying The Travis Picking To The Barre-Chord
In this lesson we'll check out how to apply the full or partial Travis-picking pattern to our barre-chord with the root note on the 6th string.
Let's grab an A major barre chord for now. There are many ways to do this, but let's look at the most basic option.
First pick the bass-note. Then pick the D string with your thumb and the G and B string with your 1st and 2nd finger. Here you do the hammer-on from the barre to the 6th fret with your 2nd finger. Pick the bass note again. You can also use the A string if you want the alternating 1/5 bass.
