Now let's turn our attention to Example 2. As stated before, Example 2 and Example 1 are the same piece with the same chord voicings. The only difference is the sycopated rhythms used to play the melody line in Example 2.

Take note of both pieces and see which measures are the same and how the measures are similar. It'll make it easier to learn.

I'll give you a simple exercise to demonstrate the syncopation used on an E chord before getting into the sycopations of Example 2. Then we'll look at a couple of measures from Example 2 to get you into sycopating the melody.
