Description

Now let's take a few more measures from Example 2. The fingerings for the chords we use still look the same as when we played Example 1. All the work is done with the picking hand. That's where the attention should focus once you have the chord fingering down. We'll take this lesson to complete the breakdown of the measures in Example 2.

Once you put the fingering and picking pattern together, start to put the measures together.

After this, I'll introduce the "banjo roll" technique that Chet Atkins was famous for. Before we run we must learn to walk, so we'll get a few Atkins-style chords under our fingers before attempting to roll them under our fingers and thumbpick.
