Me neither!! Yippee!!! Things are so lonely these days, what with my cat getting run over and my pet rock going AWOL. It'll be so nice to have someone to correspond with, even if it is in electronic format...

Hooray for anticipated spam!
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Wait a second... what does that have to do with the topic at hand?

I just realized this morning where your sign-in name comes from... Sliders! I loved that show!!! The Cromags were the evil alien-type creatures, who I think chased Jerry O'Connell et al. around.

You get bonus points from me on that one. So, you're back to square 1 in my books.

Also, I just wanted to see how many times I could quote the same post and make different comments. :(

I droped out my Bsc when I was almost finishing, and it had nothin to do with that stuff being above my head. A matter of fact, of the few people I know who quit campus, it never had anything to do with stuff being ove anyone's head.
Generally speaking, I'm thinking that if you have a first degree, you really can't tell me going for a third one might be a bit above you.

Jeeeez....

I think i'm going to read your paper to find out what the hell that means Doc Simon!

Actually, if your music theory is upto scratch and you don't see anything intimidating with a chord like Gm 13+7sharp 7 +5(you've seen chords with names like that),then this tetra methane stuff is just like that.
It's just a definition of how atoms and molecules are joined, which one to where, the orientations, blah blah blah. Much like a jigsaw puzzle.
The reason Doc says they just call it stuff is just that; there is nothing much to it. If he wants to get into it,he knows how to get into it,so why bother learning the name of a compound that takes three minutes to pronounce.

I know plenty of people that dropped out of PhDs..... because it was right over there head ! Infact I can name about half a dozen off the top of my head that I have known in the last 3 years !

I will also respectfully remind you that I have spent the last 15 years in various universities in two different continents and have a great deal of experience in this matter.

I will also remind you that, interms of the argument you are presenting:
1) you were not dropping out of a US institution (where the stats I quoted were applicable)

2) you were not dropping out of a doctoral degree (where the stats I quoted were applicable)

3) PhDs are NOT BSc they are PhDs and require a different set of intellectual tools. Being one of the few people on this site who have completed both I feel I am quite well qualified to point this out !!

There is a reason why they are called different names !

I have a masters in physics. All I had to do was use Google to search out a pic of the diploma on the web and then use photoshop to insert my own name.
I was thinking of going for my Phd next so I can write my own prescriptions.

I dunno, it just, you know, lacks the mystery you women are supposed to have. I mean, it's one thing to hint, but it's a totally different theing to be like "hey, I wanna jump your bone" or "take off your pants...NOW." I mean, while awesome and inarguably great, where's the mystique?

Give me "take your pants off... NOW!" over mystique any day... although I am a college student, so that's what I'm more used to :D
"You must stab him in the heart with the Bone Saber of Zumacalis... well, you could stab him in the head or the lungs, too... and the saber, it probably doesn't have to be bone, just anything sharp lying around the house... you could poke him with a pillow and kill him."
