I'm not old enough to vote yet but i do go up to the village hall with my mum to vote and my cat follows too.
My cat actually got lost when it followed us into the village once and we went back up to try and find her but we couldnt. I was worried that we had lost her. Luckily she appeared back at my house the next day or something like that :D
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

So, basically, you're trying to tell us that the cat came back the very next day? Did you think he was a goner?
... and that's all I have to say about that.

well - what can i say - if votes would change a thing, they´d be forbidden.

so i guess voting is pretty much meaningless. its just to make peeps believe they have some power to influence the politicla landscape - which they have not. go on and flame me for saying that, but sooner or later you might discover that its true - sad but true.

Yeah, i think she did come back the next day. I would have been very upset if she died or something.

so vote for the puppet on the left or the puppet on the right both controlled by the same dollars eh ?

Well, whilst I do have some sympathy with that statement it is NOT the whole of the law.

If you doubt me look at the differences between the left and the right in the UK ? OK they are not as far apart as they once were when people had principles however they are still noticeable. I personally think Tony Blair is a tory in disguise however despite the fact that he went to war with Iraq (a detestable decision that seems to be costing him) I will still vote for him rather than the alternative (the bloody tories).

On a somber and sour note voting dose sometimes seem like like choosing between two evils however if it is a choice between Tony Blair and a cross between "Vlad the Impaler" and the "Elitist Hell-sporn Baby Eater of Barthon-Wells" (AKA the Tory Party) , well Tony has my vote !

The world is not perfect, my politics are not for everyone however it is possible to make a difference, you just have to think about it ! The answer is not to blow up people, that is deplorable however as the system is geared up to prevent change from the outside you have to be cunning and change it from with in.

Or have a lot of money !

i´ve already explained this in another thread quite a while back.

all the bad things going on right now like corrupt politicians, terrorism attacks, bad economy, environmental pollution, etc etc etc - you name it - those things are merly the symptoms - not the cause. hardly anyone seems to be aware of that. we dont need to elect diffenernt politicians or chose between two evil parties or donate to the third world.
what we need is a change in the most fundamental thing this society is based on - our monetary system. THIS and nothing else is the reason for thousands of peeps starving and dying all over the world.

as long as we dont get rid of the self-destructional kapitalism, there wont be a change. there will be more suffering, mor wars, more terror.

now you might say "thats not true" or whatever. but it is. i could go VERY deep into detail and possibly blow the server with explainations and facts on WHY this is right.

but would it change a thing? and this is what sickens me most in this world. we know our faults, but we dont change them - even if it means total self annihilation. i just dont get it.

Yup, I vote. Though it does feel like it doesn't make a difference, at least it gives you a right to bitch.

Yes but it does make a difference and it is exactly this sort of apathy that lest idiots into power, like Hitler, like GWB.

You can wine all you like about global economics but hiding behind apathy wont change a thing.

I´m not old enough to vote, but somehow I´m glad I´m not, because in the country I live it´s really hard to find the "smallest evil", so I really would not know if I could give my tick at one party. Maybe I wouldn´t go and vote or maybe I would even vote for the Communist Party as a Protest Vote.

But nevertheless you SHOULD have a serios political opinion, because many people don´t even care what´s going on in their country or in the world!

I vote my bleeding liberal heart out every march and november. I like it when voters are largely apathetic and don't make it out to the polls because that means my vote represents a larger percentage (albeit still microcosmic) of the total vote.

However, Democracy may not be perfect (note I did not say capitalism which Im not sure I approve of) however it is infinitely better than a theocracy or a dictatorship !

I actually think the system is very corrupt. Our voting actually does mean nothing. Our votes do not increase the electoral votes for the president. Popular votes mean nothing. Lets go back to the Q. adams, and Jackson presidential race, Jackson won the popular votes, yet Adams was named president. Popular votes generally decide nothing Right? and we vote for these popular votes.... Right... So what are we voting for??

Isn't Democracy and Republicanism for the people??? Well in that and several other cases, the people did not get what they wanted.

Don't get me wrong, i live democoracy, But i think they should make the system a little better.

No need to go that far back in time. Let's go back to 2000 when Gore won more of the popular votes, yet dubya won the presidency.

I totally agree

If you want to improve it, go improve it !

And maybe the land of freedom and opportunity will return from out of the history books !

Personally I think the American constitution is a wonderful thing. Its erosion over the last 50 years is a great shame.

However, remember there are other places in the world where democracy functions other than the US !
