Hot Rails
I am almost 100% sure I'm getting the Seymour Duncan Hot Rails for my Telecaster, as a lead pickup obviously. I like what I hear on the Duncan website. Anybody try these on Tele's? Or any other guitar for that matter?

My little brother has a G&L Legacy strat equipped with
Hot Rails in the bridge and Cool Rails in neck and middle positions. Hot Rails is really hot. Great pickup if you want to play metal and especially it's a great lead pickup.
He has a Line6 Flextone2 XL and he gets Vai solo sounds as well as Dave Gilmour ones. Personally I prefer the Cool Rails 'cause they're more smooth and my brother also thinks
the Hot Rails maybe too hot. It doesn't have the strat tone at all with it. I suggested that he should put the Cool Rails in the bridge and neck or middle position and put the original G&L single to neck or/and middle position.

I was thinking about the Hot Rails for my Tele too. Sorry I can't really help you out with the Hot Rails since I never did try them, but I can tell you that I've had a lot of people steering me towards Joe Barden T-style pickups. They were designed for Danny Gatton and are used in a lot of Bruce Springsteen's guitars, including the famous Esquire. These are more expensive, I think $135 each. The website is http://www.joebarden.com

I want a humbucking type pickup that fits into a single coil slot. I also want a nice thick mid-treble range.
O ya, I don't like Bruce Springsteen, although that Tele of his....drool. Any blonde/black Tele is hot.
