Tons of stuff so the primary rig first:

Guitar
1982 Robin RH2-BB Guitar - Ebony - Heavily Modified
(this is one of the early ones the guys built in Texas)
(2) Duncan Black backs w/coil taps, phase switch & new pots (Borens).
Real Floyd Rose Trem & Lock Nut - Bill Conklin did the body route and install.
Re-fret & added 22nd fret - Conklin again - "not much neck meat
there for #22", (but it makes a nice vehicle to the high E).
Progressive Scalloped 1 piece maple neck, Robin reverse hockeystick.
Scallop is shallow near nut (almost not there) and gets deeper up the neck.
Neck pocket reworked - cleaned out all paint and re-angled the pocket to allow
steaper neck angle to a high set Floyd for big pull-ups, and 100% neck to
body connection (no shims here).
Lightning white marble on black body.
Dean Markley - 10-46 strings
Bags and bags of Dunlop Tortex .5 mm picks

Amps
(this is my live stereo rig)
Two - Peavey Classic 50's 2-12's w/ Blue Marvels on road cabinets.

Effects (Live)
Boss GT3 Multi Effects w/ 2xSub CTL pedals and Roland EV-5 Sub Expression Pedal.
(The GT-3 is wired in a three wire mode to one of the Classics' preamps,
then the Left and Right outs go to the power amp ins of the 2 amps for stereo)
Ibanez Tube Screamer
Dunlop Special Ed Crybaby
Peavey channel footswitch

Secondary Gear

More Guitars
Gibson '70 LP Standard - Ebony - pretty stock- My first real axe
Early-90's Fender Strat-White - autographed by Kenny Wayne Shepard.
(like Doc, I picked this one up in Des Moines)
Epiphone LP - Ebony w/Black backs and coil taps
Yamaha RGX - This is one nice axe - Solid Mahogony back,
nice bound bookmatched flame maple arch top in a cherry
suburst, 24 fret maple neck w/bound ebony fretboard
(that's right, not rosewood), Yami speed lace Tremelo, sculpted neck
joint, 1 Humbi, 2-1 coilers. I can't find any info on this
particular guitar anywhere, even through Yamaha so if
anyone can tell me more about the RGX's, please do. I
bought it yard sale for $150 - bet it listed for $1,000+.
2-Peavey 24 fret Tracers w/Kahler trems. Both are 1 Humbi, 2-1 coilers.
These have been totally reworked from the ground up. Set for Drop D and 1/2 down.
Ibanez Vintage 12 string acoustic (I don't play much acoustic but the 12 sounds sweeeeet).
Early (and I mean EARLY) 1900's Supertone Banjo.
Great Grandpa Presley never rocked it like I do. Actually, this was my first "guitar".

More Amps
Peavey 2-12 VT Mace w/ 2- 4x12 cabs leftover from my Molly Hatchet days.
210 Watts, 10 Black Widows and 7 1/2 feet of stack!
Peavey Bandit 112 - 1982, bought it cause the Mace was
so damn heavy and caused drain bamage. Huh?
60's 50W Marshall w/1-60a 4-12 greenback loaded cab.
I sometimes run one of the Classic's through the cab or
use the Marshall as the pre-amp in a three wire GT-3 setup for recording.
Why use MS amp-models in the Boss when you got the real deal?
A Pignose for the dock at the lake.

Effects
Another Boss GT-3 (sometimes used in the EXT OD loop of
the first one to gain access to two different effects from the same group).
I also use this GT-3 with my keyboards.
Digitech PDS 1700 Stereo Chorus/Flanger
Digitech PDS 1000 Digital Delay
MXR Phase 90
Boss OD-1 & 2 Overdrive
Boss CS-2 Compression Sustainer
Big Muff Pi
Earth Research Graphic Fuzz (that's a real old one good for the Sabbath tones)
A huge box of other stompers (lots of MXR's and Boss)
Boss Dr. Rythym and Yamaha RX Drum Machines

Keyboards
Yamaha Baby Grand Piano
Magnavox Organ (? model) - I'm not going to try and move the damn thing
to get the model number but it's a big double layered job with an octave of bass pedals.
I headphone out through the 2nd GT-3 and shut everything off but
the Bass pedals for that Yngwie power trip. - Pipe that through the Mace.
Or fire up the whole board, run my GT-3 Rotary patch and knock out
some Deep Purple, Boston, old Joe Walsh....Rock on!

I won't cover all the computers (I have 4 laptops and two towers), monitors,
mics, midi, mixers, outboard racks, Digi002 setup here.
This is about the tools that make the sounds!

Hey Death,
I prefer to use older vintage gear. Currently using two types of rigs for different gigs. First is my overall preference of a '69 Bassman (modded to a blond '62),Roland Space Echo 150 1974, and a Gretsch 6120. You can go from twang to mild plexi in no time. The second rig is a '74 Twin Reverb,TS-9,DD3, and a custom Telecaster using Warmouth parts Seymour Duncan '59 Pickups and a added boost in the back position of a custom 5 way switch which kicks the volume up about 10db and turns the pickup into a humbucker, sounds like a mini humbucker.Bought it this way cuz' it was kool.......

Bear in mind these are older paper cone/metal center BW's. Lots of smack your face mids - a little too potent for my tastes now. This really shows on open back combos (like the Mace) but the 4-12 enclosures help soften them a bit. Also, the older widows are not very strong when you crank the bass. I've had to re-cone 4 of the baskets (they tear out near the voice coil). The fact the voice coil/magnet can be removed (allen wrench) makes basket replacement a snap however.

I think the new BW cones are much smoother with greater power handling. Have considered switching out all the baskets to the new ones, but.....$$$$

Squier 20th anniversary Strat
Squier 5string Pbass deluxe
Digitech Bp-80
Tascam Portastudio 02

I'm running through my bands pa right now. Getting an amp soon. I just use my stereo at home. (It's one of those old 70's jobs, bur with 6 12"s in it, it's really loud. Plus, it has a 1/4" input.)
No matter where you are, that is the beginning.

eBay pulled the auction for "search manipulation". It seems they now object to putting other brand names in auction titles. Who knew? That's news to me - I've gotten so used to seeing such things that I don't notice any more. I buy a lot, but I rarely list things for sale, so I wasn't aware of any rule change. I may relist on Sunday.

I can't stand it when I do a search for something and all I get back are things like guitar cabinet, not marshall, not mesa boogie, etc... and the cab listed is some homemade POS, but it came up anyway because the names marshall and or boogie were in the title. that's just one of my ebay pet peaves
