No, long hair may get in the way and muffle the strings. Pot will get in the way and muffle your brain (i.e. asking stupid questions like this one as, hopefully, a joke).

Hm....30,000 Guitartricks members; none of them smoke pot. That's a crock of ****; I bet 1/3 of our members have at least tried it.

I used to be pretty heavy pot smoker, but I stopped partially becase I started feeling like sh!t and partially beacuse it is pretty hard to find these days :D

Wrong, dude. I've smoked it and I'm not ashamed to admit it at all. I'm not promoting it as a cool thing do, I simply say don't knock it till you've tried it. No it doesn't improve your music at all, I tried playing stoned once and I only suceeded in falling about laughing. It's NOT the guitarist's way forward.
