I have been using GuitarTricks for almost a year now. I have really enjoyed using it, but it feels like I have run out of tutorials that interest me or that I can do easily. I am an intermediate player and it feels like either the tutorials are too difficult, or too simple for someone at my level. I know I am asking a pretty broad question, but what should I work on next?

That depends on your goals & tastes. What style of music do you want to play? What, very specifically, do you want to accomplish with the guitar? What do you want to do that you can't? Make a list & be as specific as possible. I'll try to point you to material that can provide a learning path to get there.

What tutorials are too hard?Do you have any experience playing solo lead lines on electric guitar? Or is your current playing experience primarily strumming chords on acoustic guitar?
If that's the case, then you should start with learning to play basic single note melodies & lines on electric guitar.
Depending on your current skill level you can either:
1. Start with the rock course & look at the material aimed at lead guitar skills & ideas. Look at Chapter 3 which introduces lead guitar concepts.

2. Dive into my collection of tutorials on improvisation. This assumes you already have the physical skills to playing single note lines in time & that you understand the basics of scale degrees & chord progressions.

3. Start learning solos. This assumes you have the knowledge to understand & skills to play the material! But after learning the basics (outlined in options 1 & 2 above) learning solos by guitarists you admire will give you a repertoire of licks to draw from when you play solos. Pick some songs with basic solos & learn them!

Read this article on learning to solo.

Thank you so much! This just is exactly what I was looking for!
As for your question about where I am in terms of lead guitar skill level, I would say I have some experience, but none with improvising. I learned your Rock version of Carol of the Bells this last Christmas, and that tutorial was the perfect amount of challenging for my level then.
Again, thank you so much for your time and advice!

I was an intermediate player, but guitartricks allowed me to extend myself, and be challenged. Nothing like trying to get to the next level, being overwhelmed, and understanding you will conquer it! You're at the right place!
You're welcome! Glad it helped.

Excellent! If you can play that, then you will definitely be ready for my improv tutorials. Best of success!
