Is it possible to go through the Fundametals 2 with an acoustic?

I can see Lisa has gone from her Go To Acoustic from Fundametals 1 to an electric on Fundamentals 2...

I am sure many people do not have both.. so is the tuition in Fundametals 2 also suitable for an Acoustic learner?

I always thought Power and Barre Chords were more for electric guitars... I would have though they were not appropriate for an Acoustic.. but could be wrong?

Anyone help me out?

[br]Thanks

Chris

Lisa uses both acoustic & electric for variety & just to show what is possible.

Barre chords are often easier to play on an electric (typically due to lighter strings, lower action), but also completely normal & widely used on acoustic guitars as well.

After GF2 some of the style courses get into skills & techniques that are more suited to electric guitar. But even then most of them can still be applied to acoustic.

Hope that helps!

Once again, I'll agree with my fine colleague, Christopher Schlegal!

Fundamentals 2 gets way more into theory about how the guitar works as an instrument, beyond strumming and changing chords in the first three frets.

For some players, this is more info than they need to go ahead and play the kinds of music they love.

And for others, it is vitally important as it provides a far deeper understanding of the instrument and of music in general.

That said, some of the skills taught in Level 2 are physically more difficult to achieve on an acoutsic guitar, vs. an electric guitar.

Still, even if you are going through Level 2 with an acoustic, even if it's a physical challenge - what's most important is that you understand the logic, patterns, information presented in the course. (vs. being actually able to play it all with perfect tone.)
