Hey mike I have noticed that most of the songs I like are being taught by you, so i noticed that you have bits of tab for each section . Is there anyway you can give us the full tab also. I know it can be printed in most cases but I would like a full version when im ready to play the whole song. Thanks, Tony T.
Full tab
Hi Tony! The full tab is available in the Performance video - one of the last lessons in the tutorial. Just click on the Notation tab and it should come up.
Please let me know you found it!

Mike,
Working on CCR Lookin Out Back Door. Trying to follow the full tab referenced in this post, but it is extremely confusing from the bridge on. I tried to see if there was training on gtricks for reading tab contained, but didn't find much beyond basics. Trying to search other sites, but am having a hard time putting it all together. Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks,
As a follow up, after more research, this is what I think the full tab is saying by section played:
Intro
Verse 1
Verse 2
Repeat Verse 1 and 2
Bridge
CODA Section
Section after Coda that isn't labeled (same chords as CODA section)
Solo
Bridge 2 and CODA repeat
Outro
Is this correct? One last question, there are double bars at the end of the Outro's first 4 measures, but it continues, which seems like and error. Shouldn't it just be a measure that continues below?
Thanks for all your help.
Ok, like I said, confused, but thought I would post my new, new understanding of order based on full tab:
Intro
Verse
Verse 2nd Time
Bridge......Now it says "Da Coda", which to Coda as I understand
CODA Section
BUT after I jump to CODA, if I return, this seems like it makes no sense as it seems not to fit anything but Solo starts
Then Outro seems to fit now,
So I guess I have 2 questions at this point:
1. What is the tab after the "Da Coda (Bridge end)" for? Seems like I jump to CODA then right to solo?[br][br]
2. Are the measure ending marks a mistake after first 4 measures of Outro section? Seems like it just continues.
Sorry if this is confusing, but as you can see, I'm confused.
BTW Love you site! Have subscription to Fender Play, but they don't even provide tab. Your site is far and away the best out there.
You don't find this kind of information on tablature reading instructions. Tablatures are for fretting and ornamenting notes on fretboard. All other information is on standard notation, such as time values, rests, key signature, song structure ...
You can find standard notation reading tutorials on GT by typing "Reading Notation" to search field.
A song structure contains usually repeats and jumps (Segno, Coda, Fine). Basic way to navigate through it, is to play first all the repeats. Then on the last repeat jump first to Segno (if present), and after Segno the next jump is Coda. (Then there can be double Segno and double Coda as well). If there is Fine, then stop there on the last time.
In CCR's Lookin Out My Backdoor you play from beginning (remember the verse repeat) until jump to Segno (D.S. al Coda) at the end of the Solo. Then the Segno starts from Bridge, and you play until jump to Coda (Da Coda). Then play the Coda to the end.
Thanks to Jarkko for jumping in and answering your first question. Basically, after the solo, you jump back to the bridge, then at the end of the bridge, you jump forward to the coda symbol and finish the song there.
As for the second question - yes, the measure ending marks do seem like an error -- I've forwarded it to our transcribing team to double check - thanks for the heads up!

Hi just got clarification on this --- those double bar lines are there to indicate the key changes in the next bar (71) from Cmaj to Dmaj --- you can see the new key signature (2 sharps) in the 71st bar.

Finally all makes sense and fits. I create a cheat sheet of sorts, that shows all the chords and their sections on one sheet to use to play along once I have it down. I attached to this message in case it helps anyone.
One last question, I have the Hal Leonard Tab/Sheet Music for this song, which transcribes it in 4/4 Time at 110bpm. Chords match up to Gtricks version, but in GT version of tab looks like the Time Signature is 2/4 not 4/4, is that correct? Why doesn't GT Tab show time signature?
Thanks again for everyone's help!

Introduction video says song is in 4/4. A cut time counting is explained in Verse Guitar 1 lesson video
https://www.guitartricks.com/lesson.php?input=25487&s_id=2120
Time signature is displayed in the beginning of standard notation. In this song it is a C with | over it, which means cut time (alla breve, a musical term). It indicates 2/2 time.
Thanks Jarkko again for the response! Any song that has a quick, bouncy feel like this one is sometimes notated in cut time just to get across the overall groove and feel of the song. It's not a hard fast rule, however, so others may notate in standard 4/4 time.
