Over the last day or two, I have had great difficulty in getting the site to load videos quickly and play them without buffering. I have a fast connection and no problem with any other sites. Are you having server problems? If so, don't you think you owe it to your subscribers to let them know about the issues and what you are doing to correct them?

I was experiencing video buffering issues as well, and wrote in on this site. I have a killer fast connection (50M+) and every speed test under the sun that I run says everything on my end is running great. so...

I had a thought to switch from the Safari browser on my Mac to Chrome. WAY BETTER. If you are running a Mac, try this - it might help.

Thanks for the suggestion. today my problem with the site seemed to just clear up on its own. When I was having the problem, I switched browsers and even tried different computers to no avail. So, for now I guess it remains a mystery.
BTW, I do use Macs. In my case, switching between Safari, Chrome or Firefox did not seem to make any difference. I'm just happy the problem is gone!

Thanks both of you for the extra info.

Sometimes the route from a particular person to a particular website gets slow, and then rights itself in a few days. We have seen this before.

I'm not exactly sure what fixes it, but glad it worked out here.

Hi,
I'm just testing out guitartricks for a month and having lot of load problems with that site. I can exclude the problem is on my site because I have run some tests. While Guitartricks site gave me a timeout or didn not load at all other sites loaded fast as always. This doesn't happen only on video pages but also overiew, forum...

gitit, I'm having the same issues, and I'm pretty sure it's not on my end as I have no problems with other websites, and I have tried internet explorer, chrome, and firefox, all with the same results. It takes me minimum twice as long as any video lasts for it to even load, and right now I have had a video loading (Caren Armstrong, Speed of the Sound of Loneliness, video #3) for over an hour, and it's still at 0.00 with the spinning ring thing still spinning. The first two videos in the series loaded slowly but they at least loaded. I love this site, but when the slowness of the videos makes me feel like throwing my computer out the window, it's hardly worth it, so unless the remainder of my trial period goes better, I can't justify spending money on this.

I have a T1 connection, and I don't have problems with any other websites. It takes a really long time for the videos on this site to load. I have tried my desktop, my laptop, and my computer at work. I have literally been sitting here for three hours trying to get through the videos for Wild Thing, and I am just now on the 6th video. It took over half an hour to load up to 2:38, and then it just froze, and there's a spinny circle thing in the middle of the video screen for several minutes now. I have reloaded, and it froze again at 2:38. I've tried using both the old player and the new player, and I've tried both the high resolution and medium resolution, and while the medium resolution loads a bit less slowly than the high resolution, it is still like watching paint dry waiting for a video to load. I love the site, but I don't want to have to sit here for over an hour to get to learn one small part of a song, and then go through it all over again for several more videos. I really don't think it's on my end, as I've tried it on three different computers and both my T1 and the wi-fi at work, and it's always slow. Does anyone else have these problems with this site?
