Hi everyone,
I've been working on some compositions lately and although I can read to some degree, it would take me quite a while to actually write out the music myself, not to mention, it wouldn't look as clear as print. Does anyone know if Garageband has a way to print sheet music version of what one records. I not, is there any other program out there that can do that?
Thanks

You're looking for something that transcribes sound into sheet music? I don't know about that, but Guitar Pro can transcribe tab into standard notation. Still have to type it out yourself though.

Thanks Hunter, I'll look into it. Do you know if Guitar Pro works on a Mac?

Their website says it does.

Guitar Pro is great, and that's what most of the instructors here use.

Don't know if you figured it out already, I just discovered this post, but if you have a MIDI recording in GarageBand all you need to do is press Print, and it should let you print the sheet music.

You need to have the notation window visible, and not the "Piano roll" window.

No problem! Let us know if it works out, if not, we'll try figuring it out together.
