Curious to know if anyone has one and uses it on a regular basis? I already have a Line 6 Pod x3. So, don't NEED the GT-10, but, I'd sure like to play with one and check it out.

I've even considerd selling my Jackson to help pay for a GT-10.

Insight?

The GT-10 will make your pedals cry. :)

I have one and it's so wicked. Involves quite a bit of learning curve because of so much capabilities but rather easy to use. 200 presets and 200 user definable presets gives you a good start.

It's the best pedal I've bought to date. To learn more about it download the manual. Also check out the Utube demos.

Make my pedals cry...
Which brings up 1 of the three delimas I face

1) Most of my goto pedals have been modded, thus, sound excellent.
2) Already have a POD3x and love the software that comes with it
3) My pod sits nicely on my desk, very handy
4) Having a POD and all my pedals is a bit redundant, adding a GT10 would be even more redundant
5) Getting rid of redundancy is like asking a Catholic family to get rid of one of their children because they already have too many.

Keep the pedals, get the G10 and get rid of the POD? As far as floor stomping goes, I find both pedals and multifx units have their place. Unless you have one of those pedal boxes that can control which pedals are in effect. But then you don't need the POD or GT10 at all.

In my varied readings on rigs and checking out professional gear set ups, the artists all seem to use pedals, not fx boxes. If that is any influence.
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

So, I take it you will tell me if I should have it or not? And if not, you will be a good friend and dispose of it properly so I don't have to be burdened?

Is that what you're offering up?

i have had the gt-10 for about 3 months now i got it cuz i lost my gt-8 in the pawn shop during hard times last year....i have to say i loved the sound of my gt-8 and it wuz easyer to use then the gt-10..and i have yet to get the sound im looking for ...i know its there just gota get all the **** dield in wright....there is a big learning curve on the gt-10 the amount of things you can tweek and set is rediculess (just like my bad spelling)
but the gt-10 in my opinion isent for evrey one ...
i hear alot of people complain about it ......

i love it but i liked my gt-8 better

to get it to sound realy good on my marshall half stalk i have to use the 4 cable method wich isent bad just a bitch to unhook and move to a new location and set up again..i wuz disapointed when i got this gt-10...allthough after spending time with it and learning it i find it a very awesome and great all in one floor effects proceser.....wish i hade the money for the boss rack model though :)...lol...

the gt-10 isent gona sound great right outa the box the factory presets suck balls the nice thing is there are pleanty of web sites that you can get some awesome presets for it and uploading it is a breez via usb cable
the user manule is helpfull but not very clear on alot of things but help can be found when searching the net.....
youll fall in love with it if you get it and take the time to learn how to use it corectly :)......
makeing your own presets with the ez tone feture is pretty simple and strait foward but when you dig into things youll find a crap load of ajustments that you can make to realy dial in the sounds you may be looking for....if your serious about playing and serious about sound id have to say spend tyhe money and learn how to use it .....if your just a evreyday avrage player who wants a new sound i would stay with the things you got.....400 bucks is alot of money to spend on something you just wana play around with...and to get anything good from it...realy good... youll spend way past the return time trying to get your sound just right and perfect to your liking......

all in my opion ofcours.......sorry bout my bad spelling hop all that wuzent to hard to read

Thanks Demonic.

I've heard there is a bit of a learning curve with it. I'm not too concerned about it. As I understand it, there is also some 3rd party software you can download and use as well.

I'm still debating... If I do, I know I have to dedicate to it and most likely sell my POD and maybe my pedals as well.

I bought the GT-10 tutorial dvds and they helped a lot. You can find out more about it at GTcentral forums.

You mean the GT-10 Fx Floorboard?

http://gtx.tinfoilmusic.net/GT10-download.html

Interesting story about this guy (gumtown) who wrote the software for the GT-10ers. His early versions was written without him having a GT-10 in his possession. The guys at the forum raised a collection for the GT-10 to give to him.

(and keep writing) :)

Yeah, I was on their forum last night. Is the software stable? How well does it work? Does it compare to things like Line 6's GearBox?
