Hi,
I'm fairly new to GT and I'm loving the jam tracks that are linked with the lessons. I've tried but have been unable to play jam tracks unless I'm connected to the internet. I've clicked the Jam icon at the top but it only launches in a new IE window.

The area around my computer is pretty cramped as I send the Jam track from my computer to the amp so that I can mix it with the guitar. Ideally I would like to get the Jam in MP3 so that I can put it on my iPod and then set the amp anywhere I like.

I've poked around the help sections and forums, but I cannot find this answered. Am I able to get the Jam track onto my iPod for easier playback through the amp?

Thanks

Hi awbrooke824,

Currently iPod doesn't support flash files. For now, being connected to the internet is the only way to play the Jam Station. But we're considering other options.

Maybe you could run the audio out from your PC back into the line in and record it with something like Audacity and save it as an mp3. I'm sure there is a way to get a resonable quality track into an mp3.
Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week.

Some sound cards allow you to record "what you hear" so you might be able to record them without all the input/output wiring.

Hi,
Thanks so much for the feedback. The solution is so obvious once implemented. I downloaded the application "Freecorder 4", installed it and then I simply play the Jam track a few times while recording it, then add the MP3 to my iPod. This worked perfectly.

Thanks again for the quick updates.
