I have a number of Tele's and they are just a serious work horse. I don't mind adding another to the stable.
The standard Tele's I have played I think at times can have a better tone than an American Tele with the "Delta Tone" indent on the tone pot. The only drawback I have seen with these guitars is it is hard to find one that doesn't have rough edges on the frets. Otherwise they are great :)
