Probably depends on her taste in music.
General considering my knowledge of woman (and keep in mind that I've been single since the end of June), pick a song that you care about a lot. Something kinda layed back and easy on the ears, but something you can play with passion.
Whatever you do, just don't pretend to be somebody you're not. That will get neither of you anywhere.

Dont play heavy metal. Or hard rock. If you are like me, you would play "To Lay Me Down" by the Grateful Dead. It's a slow, incredible song. If played on an acoustic ( as it was in 'Reckoning'), it makes it even better. Check it out sometime.

Under "GUITAR TAB" there is a thread "Good for the ladies". There are lots of brilliant suggestions there. Nothing Else Matters (Metallica) is always a winner, stay away from Closer (Nine Inch Nails) lol.

Play something you can sing, even if you can't sing to well, find something that you can fake your way thru, to score additional points, make it something she can relate to, most women like ballads, thats why so many rock bands put at least one on every album

If you have a 12-string (and massive forearms), you've gotta try Extreme's "Hole-Hearted".

It's a pretty challenging song though, and you've gotta have some chops.

ok if he has the soul of a really bad singer and he listens to hard rock (my opinion-crap), then why should he pretend to be somebody that he's not? if she doesnt like him for who he is, then its her problem.
