Go with it. It's yours.
The intro shouldn't be more than 15 sec.
You should get to the chorus as soon as possible.
In this case after the second verse is fine.
The chorus should repeat the title of the song. "Jammed to Victory"?????
If it's a guitar song you need a guitar solo.
A bridge is only needed if the song is too long.
The bridge is to change the introduce a different sound to cut the bordem.
The song should not be longer than 3.5 mins. unless it is done live.

You got now. Record it and post it.
I will be waiting to hear it.

thanks for all the help but i have a question or two.
the first lead break, does it work as a chours since im using the chours riffs as a backing?
the bridge i put in there, if it doesnt fit into the song should i go from the second chours right back into the verse or should i add another lead break inbetween?

for the outro chours is it musically ok to change the wording of the chours?
They say the END is near, but I'm Tired of waiting.

It doesn't matter. Listen and if if sounds too much the same for a long period of time, break it up. I would go from the bridge to the chorus since the bridge is actually another verse. I would put in only one solo, and one chorus repeated several times, but you might add a riff between verses, but don't get carried away. A solo at the end with a fade out or maybe something that lingers on at the end. You know, let it ring! Something that is interesting is to play without your right hand and work with just some hammering and pull offs. Just a thought.

These are just suggestions. Play around with it and do what is comfortable and pleasing to the ear. Don't try to play super fast or do some strange things. Your listeners are only interested in what sounds good. There are a lot of factors in producing a good song. I am more lyricist than a musician. I'm sure others can really help you with the music. When you are satisfied, post it and the criticism will really start.

I know you can do it. Good luck!

lol thanks.

songwriting is like anything if you dont practice you wont be very good. i havent really written anything in a few years so this might take a while to get right (im kind of a perfectionist when it comes to this kind of stuff).

also do i need to host the sound file some where else to post it here?

Just get an ISP like 1&1.com
It's cheap and all you do is point straight to your MP3 files.

I used 1&1.com and though cheap, I have a lot of problems with them. They may have resolved their troubles by now. It's been several years ago. I would just be beware!

Kevin, do you use them?

Yeah, I've been using em for about 5 years now and never had a problem.
The service never goes out and I've been running my websites and using them to store my MP3's without any hassles at all. In fact I barely even notice they're there cause I never have reason to contact them.

I forgot to mention this. I wrote a short tutorial on songwriting that might help with some of the stuff talked about in this post.
It's here if anybody's interested:
