I'd vote for a female President but I don't know about her though. I'll have to hear her platform first. What are your thoughts on this development?

While a democrat is basically ensured of a Presidential victory in '08, there are alot of strong canidates including Senator Obama, John Edwards, and possibly Bill Richardson. I'd vote for an Obama-Richardson ticket for sure.

Thats kinda scary, there was a program on the other night (fictional drama) called 'The trial of Tony Blair' it was set in 2010 and Hilary Clinton was President  basically she was gonna add fuel to the fire of gettin Blair put on trial in the Hague for war crimes against Iraq :D

I think I'd vote for Obama based on what I know about possible candidates so far, but I have my doubts about Clinton. To be honest I think either of these candidates could cost the Democrats the election. While I have no prejudices (gender or racial ok maybe I wouldn't vote for a Muslim) about who I vote for I'm not so sure the whole country is ready for either of these 2. It will be interesting.

I would definately give Hillary my vote. I think she would be more concerned about American families than about trying to fix the rest of the world.

Theres one thing good about Hillary. I think she has a better grasp on national security than the other possible/likely democratic candidates. Imo, there could be worse than her in office. That being said, no way in hell shes gettin my vote.

**** that. Women deserve to have a better person for their first president.

Obama? I really don't think he should run yet. He's been in politics for two years; that's just not enough experience. He has a two year long record to flaunt... wahoo.

Besides, the man is just hope without a policy. See: John Kerry.

Or maybe I'm just too libertarian to vote for any of these people.

I'd vote for Lieberman, maybe.

I think a lot of people would vote for her because they want Bill back in the office again. Definitely the most entertaining president you guys ever had.
And his appearances on Conan were legendary. Neehah!!

Hmm, although I obviously can't vote in the US, I would be suspicious of Bill whispering in Hillary's ear quite a lot if she was in power...

I'm not sure she let's him close enough to whisper.

Right now, I would vote for Obama. He is an articulate speaker and (so far) has never seemed fazed by any question in any interview that i've seen. I think he is capable of changing our allies' views of American politics. It's so early to start speculating though. I'm not sure if the rest of the country is ready for a minority President.

Or somebody with a name so close to "Osama". What's his middle name, Hussein?

You guys kiddin? Bill is Hillary's bitch. Bill Clinton was absolutely worthless. Had it not been for him, Bin Laden would've been and in our custody, and dare I say 9/11 wouldn't have hapenned.

I have the opposite viewpoint. To me, everything was fine until Clinton left office and then all hell broke loose.

Definitely see where you're coming from. I mean, the stock market was great, only minor terrorist attacks, no major wars... However. Bush definitely had his handsful as soon as he entered office. 8 months in he had the worst terrorist attack in the US's history. He inherited a recession. I think Clinton gets off the hook for a lot more than he should. Just because things appeared fine at the time doesn't necessarily mean that they were. Letting Bin Laden go being a prime example.

Bill Richardson is my choice. Hillary is not nation leader material and checks the wind before saying anything, Obama is black but what else has he got, a brain you say?? wow i got one too. everyone else sucks. unfortunately the best people don't run for prez and are not politicians. I like Wesley Clark as well but I do not think he will run. Lieberman can suck my left one. Everyone with an (R) is a bastard since Goldwater, the last true conservative.

Bush doesn't?? the guy should be in prison, let alone impeached. inhereted recession, yea right....talking point. gas prices went down steadily until the election here even though oil prices did not change, on the day of the election they were at $2.25 here....down $.70 in 4 weeks, immediately after the election prices went up ...now they are at $2.80 here, even though oil prices have dropped $25 a barrel....these guys are crooks..war profiteers and traitors to the constitution and our military men and women. Also it would be nice if a muslim leader or two around the world would talk out against nutty jihadists and terrorist tactics and it got publicity....King of Saud maybe  like that will happen.

Didn't Bush actually lose the election?
Like, a whole ton of votes didn't get counted in Florida or something... there was supposed to be a recount but instead of waiting, Bush just basically moved in and took over

Who exactly are "these guys"? Does Bush wake up in the morning and decide how much he's going to charge us for oil and thus gas? The volatility of much of the energy market is due to speculators and their fear. And the price of crude and the price at the pump aren't necessarily tied. Just one factor, take how many boutique blends the EPA mandates for different regions of the country (which Bush advocated easing these restrictions btw):

But we're getting off topic...Hillary! Uh, no. Does she actually have a platform? I'll assume she wants socialized health care. Yeah, get our government involved in what Dr. I see please, and take all responsibility from me. That's what I don't like about Democrats in general...the entitlements they claim we have a "right" to, and it's the government's job to hand it out to us. It's cool, you don't have to pay...we'll just raise taxes!

But yeah, the Republicans aren't any better. Budget shortfall? Well, it's important, so we'll tack it on the deficit.
If there is any party that makes sense to me, it's the Libertarians, but they're ridiculously unorganized and don't even have candidates to speak of.
