That's actually quite a good guitar you've got there - and you have a Hughes and Kettner amp  .

A lot of people seem to dislike Ibanez in general because they assume that the Japanese craftsmanship is shoddy. Bollocks, I say. My teacher has two electrics - a Fender Strat, and an Ibanez SZ. The Strat sounds like an obscenely loud banjo and is constantly being repaired; the Ibanez sounds beautiful, and has never had a problem.

You managed it perfectly well Jeff. I lightened up the first one you posted, gave it a slight blue tinge, and it looks wicked now. :)

That's what made me wonder. Besides, if anyone from PRS sees that picture, you might get one!
We all ought to go to their site, seperately of course, and say "have you seen this guy?" They might say, wow this guys getting loads of attention online, so....
If they sort you out with some kit, you owe us all a beer, OK? ;)

Don't ever be ashamed of your gear Jeff. It son't matter if you paid £3,000 or £3.00 for a guitar, as long as YOU like it. Some of the best guitars I ever had have been great. Look at the one Juliet's holding in that pic, for example. It looks great, and sounds great, but it was (one of dozens) hanging on nails on Jim's (SPL Guitarist Jim Underhill) wall in his den, covered in dust.
'I said gimme that guitar Jim' I said, half joking.
"Take it" he said, without looking up from CuBase. Feeling lucky, I said
"How about the 5-string banjo?" This made him look up, and he had that 'You cheeky barstool' look on his face.
"Yeah, take that as well, if you wannit".

That's what you call a good visit. I'm due for another soon! :)
If you don't ask, you don't get. I once wrote to Gibson, and said as my initials are SG and I was born in 61', does that entitle me to a 1961 SG? I didn't get a reply.

As long as it does what you want it to my Jeff, that's all that counts. I had a nylon strung classical for years and years (gave it away to a kid at a gig 2 weeks ago) and I'd have put it against anything else I've heard, of a similar type. It must have been worth at least a fiver ($10). Having an expensive guitar doesn't make you play any better.

Convinced yet? Or shall I go on? :)

When Capohead posted his pics, it gave me an idea. How about a thread of older pics of GT guys? Stuff we wouldn't normally want to see the light of day? I blushed when I came across one a few minutes ago!!

Well I don't know about all that madness. Why oh why must I be away from my lovely DSL.

Gaddy I'm surprised that one mod or another hasn't come down on you. If they let it go I suppose I should too. Don't be surprised if I keep watch on you because quite frankly you freak me out a little. I may be taking things out of context because of the infuriatingly slow internet connect my mother has but That little acronym thing shouldn't have been allowed among other things. Another thing that worries me is the unorthodox way you post. There are times you post five or six times in a row. You're the only one I know who does such a thing and gets away with it. Hmmm....Eh I guess if noone else cares niether do I. Just an observation.

Hey, I didn't know about my unorthodox way I post? I don't have contact with people to actually chatter to when I work, and I work a lot. I'll admit I do go ona little bit, but then that's just me. I type quick.

'Acronim' has only just been bought to my attention, and I have seen it. It was written out like a 'certificate', you know, like a treaty? Paragraph starts in 'drop-capped' for visual effect. Of course I see what you're getting at, but I didn't realise I was getting any special treatment. I had no idea you weren't just allowed to 'talk', nor had I any idea of how restricted I was to how many times I could post. As I say, I type at the speed of light, it doesn't take very long to say a lot.
It's you that's freaked ME out a bit, to be honest Magic. I'm being tried here, for something I haven't done. At least not as I see it.

As I already said, the Transatlantic culture barrier doesn't stand up to well, without the benefit of the body language that makes up the majority of our contact with other human beings. If you told a pal he was 'A Jerk' for example, he's know you were joking with him, by your expression. In here, you write to someone 'You're a jerk' and the entire world comes down around your ears. For God's sake man, I had been lead to believe we were a frum of Rock Guitarists and the like. I keep seeing all the names bandied about, but i've not seen a lot of the 'Rocker' in here! It's very far from anything to do with Rock and Roll.
When a cartoon of a ball of people wriggling around offends, yet skinned Rabitts, dead deer, and guys saying "I'd bang her!' in reply to a girls post - all fine in the wild and wacky world of GT!

I was showing a pal of mine this place today, saying what a good laugh it is, and how cool everyone was. He read it for a while, then said
"Isn't it a bit like Johnny Rotten joining the London Symphony Orchestra?"
I said no, not at all, they're fine. Everyone else who hasn't had a pop still is. I have had a PM with all my 'crimes' listed, after I PM'ed the Mods to ask what was wrong? Had someone swore, had someone done something so evil the threads collapsed? What is it? Then it comes back - IT's ME! Its Gaddy the gunslinger for hire, come wandering in here, looking for some rock and roll - how dare he?
Anyway, if you three that have just PM'ed me, are 'THE MEN' what chance do I have - you've already made up your minds. Get some music in you man, some fire in yer belly. 'Shameless self-promotion' as you put it, is fine my frind, but you gotta be able to 'be it', as well as play it.

Dear, dear me "I'm watching you Gaddy, you said a naughty word!" Go on, read it back to yourself, out loud, then think "Rock and Roll".
My God, I despair at tomorrows music, I really do! Good guitarists are ten a penny bud. Character, you can't put a price on!
Don't bother. I'll see myself out! (There is no 'Smily' for someone shaking his head in astonishment)

Spamming the boards relentlessly is unacceptable, whether it's "rock and roll" or not. I should add that Gaddy will be absent from these boards.

Also, may I add that anyone who says "You're not rock and roll enough" in their defense needs a swift kick in the teeth. Feel free to disagree, but I have no qualms about Captain Spam's departure.

That makes more sense...kind of. The "your not rock and roll enough" isn't cool. This is not and attack on Gaddy, but being 'rock and roll' ends most people up in cocaine induced middle age crisis.

I mean, why post five times in a row when you could easily just post once? It's a waste of space, especially with all the HUGE frickin' pictures being linked. The whole "not rock and roll enough" is just stupid and lame, but that's one man's opinion.
