Well, hi guys. My name (of course) is my first name, it comes from my grandmothers side of the family. I'm just a regular guy from south Florida, I was raised in the Bershires of Massachsettes, but recently I moved back down to Florida where I'm holding down a few jobs here and there making ends meet. Life is basically what you make of it, and you have to learn not to cry over petty arguments from the past, because in life there are just some things (and some people) you can't change, you just hve to learn to accept that. Overall, life is good, I'm not tied down to the point of no return, and I still have enough time to be creative with my music. I'm pretty much thankful.

Schmange was something my brother said about 8 years ago. I bought my first computer and was using the built in mic to record system alert sounds. He came in & I held out the microphone to him.
He went "SCHMANGE!!", and that became my error alert for years. When I signed onto my first BBS I got caught off guard when it asked me what my online name was.
I couldn't think of anything and when I tried to sign on without one my error alert went off with "SCHMANGE!!".... so I wrote Schmange and it's been my online name ever since.
The biggest pain now though is whenever someone talks to me in person (especially Canadians eh) they always call me Schmenge, like I'm one of the Schmenge brothers from SCTV.

I got Hootayah from an old tape recording I made when I was a kid. I was at Niagara Falls with my parents and had my cassette deck with me and was recording the sound of the falls when somebody in the background in a really high voice kept shouting Hootayah!! At the time it really pissed me off cause it ruined my recording but ever since then whenever I lisen to that tape it totally cracks me up cause all you hear is this roaring sound and then Hootayah!!! It's sorta become my official cheer now whenever I'm at a baseball game or whatever.

To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

I treat every new guitarist I have the chance to meet the same way, with the same respect towards their technics. We all have to learn from each other as we do not play with the same emotion. When your able to tap into your emotions and channel them through your instrument, THAT`S MUSIC!

My nick name is Siren Lydian and I'm confident I'm the only one on the entire internet who picked this nick. On some boards it appears as SirenLydian (all together).
But you can be sure that would be me. I picked Lydian because is my favorite mode in music and I use it quite a lot in my compositions. Also to me the Lydian mode is very feminine and it fits my character (I'm a very feminine girl).
And Siren is ....well, just perfect for me. I kill people with my music. LOL, specially when my guitar goes out of tune! :P

My nick comes from that madcap comedy show which changed the world, (at least humour-wise).
The show taught me a very important lesson- everything in the world is to be laughed at. Not in a mean nelson HA! HA! kind of way but in in a "I'm funny, you're funny so why not laugh?"
Anyway, my nick is a reminder to myself that its sometimes important to take a step back from the world, and all the sh1t within, make a rude noise and have a giggle to yourself.
As for my signature, I made it up. It sounded cool at the time and forms part of my ever evolving philosophy on life.

Josh Redstone is my real name. I just couldn't think of a decent nickname, plus I think its kind or a neat name. I did a phone book search on the web and there are only 30 or so Redstones in Canada
