Schmange was something my brother said about 8 years ago. I bought my first computer and was using the built in mic to record system alert sounds. He came in & I held out the microphone to him.
He went "SCHMANGE!!", and that became my error alert for years. When I signed onto my first BBS I got caught off guard when it asked me what my online name was.
I couldn't think of anything and when I tried to sign on without one my error alert went off with "SCHMANGE!!".... so I wrote Schmange and it's been my online name ever since.
The biggest pain now though is whenever someone talks to me in person (especially Canadians eh) they always call me Schmenge, like I'm one of the Schmenge brothers from SCTV.
