This thread serves the dual purposes of letting Brendon know, and feeling like I'm telling someone. Our gig is officially booked. October 19, Oddfellows Hall, Stonewall. We start at 7:00 pm. And...yeah. We're opening for a CD release, if you didn't know. And...that's it. So, yeah. I might puke. I'm terrified. Excited, but also terrified.
You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.

Awesome! Be sure to have somebody in the crowd taking a video - I want to see you guys play, and I don't know whether I'll be able to book a flight to Canada for October 19th :D

dude, just go out and have a party! I dunno why you are so nervous about gigs, but seriously, they are always fun, and almost never worth being nervous about.

good luck to yas

I can't make it. The 19th is a Thursday. That's a school night.

Seriously though, I'm glad it's in October. I was dreading reading this thread, because I thought it would be like, end of August.

Mid-October = plenty of time to get good.

Although I as well am woefully nervous.

Sweet. Good job kids.

And puke all over everything. It's so rock and roll.

Oh...here it comes...
I just realised the show is rapidly approaching. It isn't even trying to sneak now. I will go away this weekend. When I come back it will be October. Then, we'll have all of two and a half weeks. And we just missed about that much time in practicing, with Luke being away in Texas. I think that since I have no school on Monday, we may just the spend the whole day practicing. That would probably be a good idea. I'm still pretty nervous (understatement) because there will be several hundred people there, but I guess I can't do much about that. At least we'll have lots of new pictures, maybe even some short videos with crappy sound quality! To suit our crappy sound! OUCH! Yeah, we'll have something to show you anyway. Well...yep. Just yappin' at y'alls.

Chill bud. Just chill. A little adrenilane never hurt anyone, but being over nervous aint good either-the last thing you need is to be feeding a crapper instead of putting on a show.

Easier said than done, i know...but you know the material. I understand it's worse cause you're the singer, but hey...whats the worst that can happen?

I'm telling you guys, a couple shots before the show will help.

The worst that can happen is we suck and everyone hates us. Then we never play again.

I think a few shots are in order.

I don't know if I told you guys the lineup changed (funny how I assume you give a ****) so that now it goes:

THE Greasy Knots
Moments of Brilliance
Two Steps Back
Kincaide
Shotgun Start

Heard of any of 'em? No? Okay.

Super excited for the show. We practiced our whole show and are now excited as well as frightened. Yay!

Also, apparently we're playing at a save the park thing, another concert, and a Christmas show. So, yeah, pretty much booked solid now.

We're on first.

And just for the record, a lot of those other shows Michael mentioned are all speculation at this point. In my opinion, we should see how this first show goes before committing ourselves to other stuff. But you know, my opinion counts for naught in this band, so we probably will end up playing them.

Which will be the case for the aforementioned Christmas show.

Yeah. I don't know about the Christmas thing. Now when I think of it I just laugh and laugh. See, I just did it again! No, basically if a show comes up where we can be ourselves I'll take it. I probably won't organize piss-all though.

Okay. So there's like, five days left until the show. I'm freaking out in a big way. I know I don't really have anything to worry about, but I'm still feeling the effects of extreme nervosity taking their toll on me. I spent about two thirds of today pacing around the house. I picked up my guitar a couple times and plunked around a bit, but every time I started to play one of our songs, my hands started shaking uncontrollably. It was excellent for vibrato, but I digress.

Somebody please shoot me up full of sweet sweet opium, so my stomach will stop being so uneasy and my fingers will stop involuntarily twitching.

Maybe things will be fine dude. I am an extremely nervous person for no good reason. I get nervous just from overthing shiz to much.

I was crapping my pants before playing in front of the school (The most nerve racking audience possible, seeing as how im not really that popluar). When I got up there, the lights blocked out the audience, and the nervousness dissapeared.

Yeaa...almost game day dude.
