I love my gibson to death and I wouldn't trade her for anything. I've never played a Yamaha (and that guy never did get back to me about his SG2000) but from what I hear they are excellent guitars. For now, I'll say Gibson, and until I try a Yamaha that'll change my mind, that is my answer.
